Come to the Water is more than a performance — it’s an invitation for students to experience professional dance up close, explore themes of renewal and connection and engage creatively through movement.
Dew Dance is excited to introduce Come to the Water, a new dance theatre performance exploring mental wellbeing, resilience and human connection. Taking place at Wycombe Swan Town Hall on November 12th 2025, this powerful piece offers a unique opportunity for schools to engage with professional dance in an inspiring way.
We’re inviting schools to be part of the project as a school trip and through workshops and movement sessions. These sessions will encourage students to explore themes of emotional wellbeing, storytelling through movement and creative expression. Whether you're looking for an engaging arts experience or a way to open conversations around mental health, we’d love to work with your school.
Why bring your students?
This production blends contemporary dance and storytelling with original, locally composed music, offering a culturally enriching outing for Performing Arts and Music students alike. It’s a chance to see how collaboration between dancers and composers brings narrative and emotion to life — perfect for sparking classroom discussion or reflective work afterwards.
We're excited to also showcase regional professional dance from both contemporary dance and Kathak backgrounds. More information about who will be performing at www.dewdance.co.uk/come-to-the-water.
Workshops for your school
We offer tailored workshops that connect to curriculum areas such as PSHE, Drama or Dance. Sessions can explore teamwork, expression and physical storytelling and link to themes of rest, wellbeing and connection. Workshops can be adapted for any key stage, and we also create bespoke sessions for GCSE or A-level Performing Arts courses.
