Under the treetops - creative movement workshop
A fun session for youth and adults to get creative and learn how we use our bodies to tell a story. Based on the theme of trees and the environment, we'll learn movement, come up with our own and meet new people. No previous experience is needed.

About the event
Come celebrate nature and the significance of trees with Dew Dance at Wycombe Arts Centre this July. Using movement, creativity and your personal experiences of trees, we will explore how trees signify growth, sustain life and is a place of shelter. Trees are home.
A fun morning out to get moving, creative and leave with a new sense of awe for the environment.
Suitable for youth and adults ages 12+ with no previous experience needed. Bring your friends or come as a family.
When: Saturday 16 July, 10:30-12:00
Where: Wycombe Arts Centre, Desborough Road, High Wycombe
Cost: £5pp (pay on the day or through bank transfer), discount for families - email us for more info
Who: Suitable for youth and adults ages 12+. No previous movement experience is required.
What to wear: Comfortable clothing you can move in (for example exercise wear). We recommend wearing sneakers.
What to bring: Just yourself, you are welcome to bring a water bottle or a snack. There will be refreshments available by donation.

Notes for attending:
Please register here to confirm your place as we will limit numbers for safety and comfort. Bring what you need to feel warm and a drink. To keep each other safe we also ask/recommend that you take a lateral flow test before attending and not to come if you have any covid symptoms or feel unwell. Hand sanitiser is available in the building.
There is limited free parking and paid street parking. Please let us know if you have any access requirements.
Participants under the age of 18 will require contact information for a parent/guardian

For insurance purposes, you attend this session at your own risk with regard to injury and property. We sometimes take photographs or video for a record of the day. By attending the session you agree that created movement, stories, photographs and/or video of yourself can be used for the purpose of (1) promoting Dew Dance and Wycombe Arts Centre through media, and (2) to feed into the creation of new contemporary dance work by Dew Dance.
If however you do not wish to be included in any photographs or video just let us know on the day and we will respect those wishes.
